Franklin River

I was particularly impressed by the level of knowledge and professionalism exhibited by the river guides, Shaun and Anna. Whether it be tackling a difficult rapid, describing the fauna, flora and history of the area, preparing the campsite, producing amazing meals or subtly directing and supporting me in potentially dangerous situations, I always felt completely safe and comfortable.

Waterfalls, cool temperate rainforest, sub-alpine mountains, pioneering history and wildlife highlight this spectacular area. Our series of day walks allows us to explore this magnificent region in depth. We'll visit places such as Ralph Falls, St. Columba Falls and Mt. Poimena before heading to the north east coast. The Bay of Fires lies on the edge of the Mt William National Park, an area of unsurpassed wilderness, where we take time to wander along remote beaches and explore some of our local guides favourite haunts.
